Hey All

I don't know what it is with the way the bracelets and straps are put on these 15400's but it is impossible for me to remove them.

I've owned a total of 4 15400 reps 2 from TF 1 BP and 1 was from another maker that I can't remember, I've encountered the same problem with all four. When I try and remove the bracelet it is almost impossible to, I try and unscrew it and 1 of the screws may come out, but the other is always wedged in and refuses to unscrew. Other times I can completely unscrew them but they just rotate in place with little to no protrustion, which makes it next to impossible to remove. I remember the last 15400 I got, after trying and trying to get the bracelet off the screws were completely rounded.

Is there a solution to this?, I really want to give at least one of the bracelets a spa treatment, but I definetly do not want to leave the watch attached while doing so.

Thanks for any assistance :).

I'm having exactly same problem! I'm looking for the answer, got a 15400 on donerix strap, and I've decided to put it on a bracelet i ordered from toro. Took it to the local watch smith and he can't get the screws out to remove the plots :(

They're a nightmare to remove!

This worked for me:

1. Spray screws with WD40 or other penetrating oil.

2. Try to unscrew 1/4 turn and spray more wd40. Preferably leave overnight for the oil to penetrate/migrate into the screw threads.

4. Next day, Unscrew 1/4 turn.....spray more Wd40. Leave for 15mins. Then unscrew another 1/4 turn and repeat....best to wait 15mins between unscrewing each 1/4turn (for oil to penetrate and lubricate thread).

My screws started to bind after 4-5 turns - so I sprayed more wd40 and left over nigh again. Next day they unscrewed just fine.

Good luck.

Ps. Use good screw drivers
