Time to finally pick up a seadweller. That new asian movement looks dare I say.. quality! Looks like it could even be serviceable.

Subscribed to this. Can anyone do a comparison? I'm interested to know the differences between the old and new BP SLSD before I make the purchase.

Couple of observations after wearing this for a while.

Plus points

1. Pearl is really good and looks almost gen.
2. Crystal is very good, been comparing to photos of the gen looks excellent.
3. Bezel clicks nicely, feels similar to my TC sub, not as tight though.
4. Dial and hands are very good, lume is excellent.
5. SEL fit on bracelet is very good.

Minus points.

1. Bracelet build quality is not the best, comparing to my TC Sub V3 bracelet.

Conclusion

This is a great out of the box rep, probably the best OTB Rolex that I have purchased since my TC sub, quality of watch case is really nice.

I have ordered a TC bracelet for mine, I think this will be the only thing that I will change on the watch, no mods needed really.

Very impressed with the BP SD, it really is a great watch, here's another photo

Thanks for the pic and info. What about date wheel. Font looks nice but slightly off centre, to the left side.

Is it noticeable IRL?

It is not noticeable on the wrist, but it looks like it is slightly to the left, some photos below.

As you can see from the photos it is more noticeable on the 10 + and 20+ numbers, but i didn't notice it whilst wearing it, only when I took the photos it was more apparent.

Thanks for the photos.

The 20 looks most problematic. Almost touches the left edge of the date window. Guess you have to wear other watches on those days...

Maybe a different DW can fix it. The TC DW should fit the clone movement.

Otherwise seems like a great rep.

I wonder if it a problem to my specific watch, rather than this model, would like to see some photos of the DW numbers on other watches to see if it is a problem with all of them or just mine.

Mine's slightly right justified...

View attachment 19890

Not good for OCDs amongst us, but for the other 99.9% of the population I think it passes. I'd be more bothered if the date was either too high or too low in the window. I've seen gens with slightly left-justified DW so no sweat ;-)

PJ can you post a photo of yours with the 10+ and 20+ numbers when you get a chance

But, the near perfect CG and Insert more than make up for that micro detail. Look at the CG's on those pics.. Done!

Please also post which version, 21j or clone. Maybe there is a difference.

The one I got is supposed to be 'Swiss', not sure if its swiss or a clone, I cant really tell the difference and am crap at taking movement photos.

Here are a couple of shots of the movement, what do you guys reckon, is it Swiss or a clone version ?

Looks swiss.

Sometimes there is some play with the dial feet so you can just give the dial a nudge to the left and the date wheel will be centred. That is if you know how to remove the crown. (I don't...)

No worries fella. I'll post up some pics when I get back from work this evening. The right justification is more noticeable from the 20s onwards. It's barely noticeable in the teens. Not a deal breaker for me.

PS mine is a 2813 21J. I was disappointed that I didn't get one of the new breed high beat 21Js. I've got one in my BP No Date Sub and its keeping unbelievable time.

That is weird, if it is right justified it should be less noticeable on the 20s, since that's where is was most left-justified on rols watch...
