Hi @Thrasher
Would you mind telling me how much you paid for this one and if the bezel is paperclip construction or not ?
Looks like it could be a good start watch for my next own DIY build.

You would have to ask Sead the price he would give you and as far as paper clip that's a Question for Adrian. I just buy the parts and send them to a Master.

The bezel construction... isn't paperclip construction...very simular to gen construction only the retainer is made into the case... but still has bezel ring ,tension washer, and click spring

Thank you very much @Mr Smith :notworthy:
I wonder how the bezel ring can stay on the case without cliping on the retainer but as long as it's not a paperclip construction it's OK for me.
Hope that one could be in "work in progress" by the end of the year ... until then I think I'll try to read all the 7123 posts of that thread:hehehe:

@Thrasher, when you receive the new one from Sead, could you post a pic of the caseback? I'm curious to see if the text alignment on the caseback has been fixed.

The earlier BP models have the alignment spot on, whereas, based on my findings, for at least the past year it has been more centered, a specification I cannot say I've ever seen on a gen.

Also, it looks like the date wheel overlay alignment has improved. On the one I received back in April, the left justification was horrific, and upon review of the QC pics I previously approved, I realized angles were shot to downplay it. Moral of the story: I should have bought mine from Sead!

On page 234 you can see qc pics from one I just got from Sead. Two pics show the case back text.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't understand paperclip, I thought you were referring to the long click spring, not even the cartel uses the paperclip which I only ever saw on my WBK 1680

No problem :hi:
Some 16610 come with a paperclip construction with near to no place between the bezel and the rehaut, so the bezel is very hard to remove and almost impossible to put back.
I experienced that bezel construction on the first AND second watch I tried to modd so ...I learned the hard way:frusty:

The retainer is made right into the case that's how it stays on mate...im sure somewhere in this thread is a example of one with the bezel ring off...Maybe @ado213 may have a picture to better description of what we talking about?
I'll look in my files as well
