Yea but wasn't someone asking about putting a 2836 in and I thought you couldn't use that in a TC case because of stem position

The 2836 movement is preferred in the bpsd case if you are using tc dial and hands. Has to do with spacing between the movement and dial, its harder to achieve a centered dwo with the 2824. I can't answer your stem questionno, not a TC case.
I asked if I can use an ETA 2836 with TC dial and hands in bp case. Also asked if I need a new tube/stem for a gen crown fitment, I know I'll need a wso tube but what about the stem? Can I use the one that comes with the movement? Thanks for help
The TC datewheel won't work with a 2836 is what I was told or more specifically a 2824 DW will not work with the 2836.The 2836 movement is preferred in the bpsd case if you are using tc dial and hands. He can use the tc dwo v4 on a 2836 or a 2824, but in the bpsd the 2836 is preferredThe TC datewheel won't work with a 2836 is what I was told or more specifically a 2824 DW will not work with the 2836.
I'm reading online the 2824-2 DW doesn't work with a 2836-2. And have een told this by someone way more experienced than me when it comes to movementsHe can use the tc dwo v4 on a 2836 or a 2824, but in the bpsd the 2836 is preferred

That's really interesting news to hear. I spoke to ado about the hands and he told me under a microscope he couldn't see a difference between the two. Perhaps at one time the 16600 hands were not the same as the v2 hands but now they are. I wonder which ones I got in marchAfter ordering the TC 16600 dial and hand set I read that the TC 16610LN V2 hands were closer to Gen.
Having spoken with TC he assures me that the hands in the 16600 dial and hand set are the 16610LN V2 hands just with a different label.

It is on a eta 2836. It's the latest TC DWO V4. The stem is just a standard eta stem you can get a few from WSO along with the WSO tube. I prefer a new genuine crown they are just more durable. I'm on vacation out of town so can't get you the Web links. Ask around someone can help you. I suggest you have Adrian in England do all the work and do it right the first time with all TC parts and genuine crown and insert. Maybe have Adrian do his crystal mod so you can throw in a WSO crystal or better. The DW is on a 2836-2? It doest air roo high or roo, low I can't remember which I was told or read.
Where did you get the longer atem, and what lengh? Did you change the tube too?
Thanks

Yep I'm sure he does even a New Asian 2836 rebuilt and cleaned by Adrian would be great. Many of these so called new eta 2836s are not new. But if you got a new movement from Adrian it would be great ado213Agreed and adrian probably also has a swiss 2836 he can put in as well
