Just posted on TT. The crown guards look a little short (at least in these photos) but the rest is looking good.

It’s not 904L. Case back engravings look a little too bold or overfilled. At $318 it’s a great piece, especially with VR3135. Nice to see a 16600 again..

A welcomed sight. BP has also given the VR treatment to the 16710 GMT's. So maybe their Subs will get it too.
Yes, actually they re-released the 5- digit Subs with VR3135 movements 👍

That's awesome. I miss my BP LN, so might get one.

Do you a link to the 16710 gmts with VR3135 movement? Didn’t see any on TT.

I do not, but the last one I got had it. I got it from the M2m but it was brand new stickered and all.
How would it compare to VSF and clean? Any glaring differences or any areas that BP shines? been Reading up on GMts and probably looking to buy one before CNY.

TIA

I wish I could compile everything into one sentence but. Basically, you cannot compare BP to VSF or Clean. BP is the best you're gonna get on a 16710 if you are not going to build one from scratch. They're fine on that aspect. They play the part well.

Any TD can source it. Just be sure to ask for a VR3186 version, don't let them off-load an older SA3186 version.

Did the previous release of the 16600 have the bezel held in with spring wire like the subs or was it gen like ?

Overall feeling, I am happy this watch is available again.

But as @tribal mentioned absolute correctly, unfortunatelly so much wrong.
Still looks nice, but these things are wrong :(

I remember back to my BP SD 16600 from approx 2017 (2836 basewatch)
This was a real nice one, with correct 93160 bracelt + clasp, more accurate look and bezel with accepted GEN inserts and correct caseback engravings...

I cannot understand why BP has/had so much variations in their SD model....

Crown guards are actually 16660 style, thicker at the base and the bottom (under the crown.) Since there doesn't seem to be any chamfering of the lugs, that would also tell which way this rep is leaning (16600 vs 16660.) Wouldn't be too hard to do on your own though. Pretty sweet reps with the VR to boot.
