Just read trusty newsletter of this release:
"Explorer II 16570 based on the 2006 versionw ith rehaut engravings and etched crown on the crystal, now with the VR3186 movement."

I think it'll be the same BP but hopefully the rehaut is less deep. And VR3186 is nice. It gives a nice budget option without having to go Viet case

Im Hoping the same. Also hoping that this means that cases will be available as standalones.

They are starting to come out.

Typical BP: fat lugs, fat CGs, bezel engraving too thin, something weird about the dial.

But for ~$300 ehhh

If it can take gen bezel that’s a solution.

Don’t have one in hand, I’m just going off photos from a dealer.

I’m going to order a case Friday so fingers crossed

I've got a few gen bezels in the stash, I'm wondering if some case work could solve the other problems.

BP usually has decent dials...
