BP factory Omega Seamaster 300

Hi guys,

As a relative newcomer to the forum and buying or replicas in general can I please ask the more experienced members on their thoughts on the BP factory Omega seamaster 300. The model in particular that I'm interested in is the 50th anniversary 007 edition which has the Asia 2836-2 automatic movement.

I don't know if BP are the only factory making this model so any advice on other manufacturers would also be very much appreciated.

General rule: Current top Omega reps: VSF, ORF, ZF. Those 3 make the best, which one in particular depends on the model.

The rest make of the factories make Omega reps ranging from very good to very decent to mediocre to bad quality.

I am not sure about other factories making that particular model you're asking about, but if I'm not mistaken, BPF's Omega reps are considered being in the upper range of the mid-tier, but not quite as good as the high-end range of VSF, ZF or ORF.

I have a BP 300 black ceramic (the pre-wave dial). The finish and quality is equal to anything I have from vsf IMHO. The dial, crystal, hands, bezel and insert all look close to gen. Plus there hasn't been any reports of crown thread issues. It's a watch I'd never consider selling.
