Got it back today with a full rebuild and service $60. Those of you in southern California probably already know who David is and he told me he only wants to deal with his current client base, the old timers who know so don't ask me for his info unless your VIP and been around a long time, I guess I just got real lucky.

Well it has Failed again, David said it was a very old used movement and perhaps its just warn out , Now as I try to wind it its clicking so I imagine the gear teeth are out of alignment, Don't really know , its keeping perfect time and all functions work it just skips like crazy now when I try to wind it. Maybe I will get a new Asian 2836 put in.. I'm going to give David one more shot then if that fails Katts or 10:10 will see. I'm going to start a part two new thread on this subject.

Isn't the whole point of a service to clean the parts, oil them and replace worn out parts?

If you've just had it serviced, it shouldn't matter how old it is. I'm guessing he didn't replace any old parts..?
