Botched AR removal?

I'm pretty sure none of the dealers test if each and every crystal is really made of sapphire. I'm also pretty sure the factories can replace son sapphire crystals with mineral ones if they happend to run out of sapphires in a middle of an assembly...

It's more likely scratches in what's left of the AR coating and not scratches in the crystal itself...
