Would love to see how the blue FF looks. I turned to the RG FF as the tone of blue seems to be different to the gen. Gen is more like a metallic blue.

Yeah the strap is very off color wise. Still the watch looks amazing

The name on the side of the case is straighter than on the black ones I have seen.

Yep, that's the one. Thanks.
Haven't seen any reviews or even C&R of the blue FF. Anyone else find the dial a deal breaker?

Yep - I'm passing on the incomplete dial. We'll see what future versions bring... and my black FF will keep me very happy while I wait.

Yes, I had this watch on my wish list until I found out about the dial flaw.

Will just enjoy my Black Fifty Fathoms until the factories fix this.

Deal breaker for me.

You're pretty tough on this! I've not seen the Gen in person yet, but the outer strip's lack of the engravings is really hard to see unless you look very close (and know what you're looking for obviously). I'm looking at mine now, and it is really small and thin at wrist distance - so much that you cannot tell whether it has the engravings or not.

You're probably right emdeevee - most things people complain about with these reps are only noticeable with a loupe and not to the naked eye.

That being said, I know that I would feel really bad if I purchased one of these watches for $498, and then later on the factory released a new version with the flaw corrected.

So for now I will wait, and if they decide not to fix it, I might eventually purchase this beautiful timepiece.

One other thing, just my personal preference, but I am not that keen on the blue strap - if I order I will probably request an extra black strap to install on the watch.

Interesting as the strap is getting a lot of compliments!! And I hear you...I did spend that $ and if they do put out a correct dial, I'll be pissed (for me, but happy for you!).

Regardless, you'll still have a gorgeous watch that 99% of people will have never seen before and 99.9% would never notice a dial difference anyway. Your watch will be one to continue enjoying either way.
