Literally started my walk on the dark side of the high-end timepiece moon about 3 days ago.

2 questions today:

I’m liking the Blasted SS DIW 40mm on onewatches site.

What does “DIW” or “DIWF” mean?

Anyone had experience with blasted case/bracelet quality/finishes/seals/feel? Anything. Let me know I’m new.

I’m also seeing a lot of “ZF, GDF, KF”. If those are factories then I’m not familiar with those specific ones. If not what are their meanings.

Yes this are factories. DIW however (not diwf) is the company that makes customized Rolex models in a variety or materials and finishes.

DIW is a company that does modifications to Rolexes Daytonas in great quantities and also for some other brands

As for GMF, ZF, QF, VSF these are Factory names that make the top end replicas and there are many other name factories.

I took a look and I understand. Somewhere I saw “DiWf” and still have t found info,.. maybe a typo. Who knows. So do some rep factories actually reproduce styles from DiW? A rep of a custom gen?

DiWF is a replica factory replicating DiW models. Yes they exist. Several members own one.
