I kinda like the looks of the slimmer profile, makes the watch more elegant IMO. Slimmer is the cheapo one.

It just doesn´t look right and there´s something with the outer ring that is totally wrong (plastic?) - look at the placement of that 45. The lume is awful, while the Noob is one of the very best lumed otb-reps.

Unless I see some high res. member pics I can´t warm up to this one. The standard screws (sideview) look terrible, would replace those immediately with lugbars, open caseback is not a good idea for this one, the Noob has a closed one and extra protective cover inside. The overall look just doesn´t look "sharp" enough, it may be the pic but.....

Difference in lume quality alone is worth $130 to me. That's what it would cost just to have a dial relumed (shipping to and fro + time spent).

Thanks for the discussion. I may just have bought this version on an M2M deal and can only assume it from the non hex screws in the lugs. The watch is closed case back and pics in the sales thread look great. I'll try to post pics when I get it but that may be next month. From these pics and the ones in the sales thread it'd be hard to tell if it is a fake (or non Noob) unless at close inspection side by side with a gen or a Noob (other that by looking at lug screws).

I just got mine and I love it. W/out a side by side only the screws are noticeable, and you really have to be looking for them... I don't think i could pick it up looking at someone else wearing the watch.
The strap looks and feels ok, it'll be a matter of seeing how well it stands wear and tear.
All in all an excellent watch, now about the blue one...

Pics of the newest purchase. I think it looks stunning, sits very comfortable on my 6.5" wrist. The rep strap looks good and is very soft and light. The lume also looks good. The bezel feels well put together and moves with reassuring clicks and very little to no play. Having said that I don't have the possibility to do a side by side.

There is a 21j version available now. Blue and black versions in steel an gold. Looks pretty good for the money although date window placement is closer to centre as is standard on 21js.

The more central date is a quick giveaway you're right.
Can't absolutely tell but AR and lume seem weaker too.
But that's over a $300 price difference!
