Thrasher, it's a tapered buckle - 21mm to 20mm, so the tail strap will need to taper to 20mm at the buckling position. I went with a simpler 23mm/22mm configuration and added a 22mm polished PAM style buckle to my custom strap.
Good Lord could they possibly make things more convoluted. Rep points to you for the most accurate explanation.
Make sure you tell them to make sure the crystal is pressed in even, mines a little uneven, Sead can get you one for $399 and I told him about the uneven crystal so he will be on the look out in the future otherwise its really perfect deserves very high marks in rep of the year.
^ Becareful there are 2 versions of the BFF. The Noob version is $488 from most dealers.
The one that is $100 less is not as good nor quality is not the same. There is a post about this somewhere. You can check if you have the Noob one of yours has HEX screws. There is a version using normal flat head screws for the strap which is the cheaper version.

Just checked and mine are hex head I thought they were suppose to be Torx, its advertised on Puretime for 399 and says Noob, Sead told me a wholesaler had bought a lot from NOOB and I told him I wanted NOOB looks like he delivered because its pretty damn nice as you can see from the pictures above. the puretime price for the BFF is still 488, remember this one is BFFNR NOOB

Mine arrived this week and it's the dogs bollocks had loads of comments about it when wearing it out and about
even girlfriend said I like that so will need to keep an eye on it in case she decides to borrow it
I only have small wrists but size seems ok for me strap is a bit poor but looks the part

Thrasher, I think you got the old strap. The new BFF's all come with regular size straps. Mine is normal length. I have 6.5inch wrist and use the very last hole. So 8.25 will fit this strap easily.
Also the quality of the strap in my opinion is awesome. So comfy. Latest straps are 125/75 just measured it

Just as a point of interest I looked at all the Puretime videos of this watch, CHRONO, Standard and no radiations (NR Is the one I have) and it seems they all use Allen (HEX) head screws on the bracelet less than 1.5mm. I used a Torx T4 as the T3 was to small!!!
