Just wondering if anyone's bought one of these before? Besides the annoyingly small date, it looks okay for the price.

As you know, there is already a thread on this. The verdict is clear - it’s a crap-tier fake. Not worth getting IMO - I doubt anyone on this forum will get one.

I know, but I was wondering if anyone actually had one in the wild. Sometimes these flaws look less obvious when wearing a watch on the wrist.

Difficult to say. Lots of new players arriving and most of them are terrible. If ZF have a go it will be worth attention but most of the new arrivals are playing a DH Gate level game. They’ll sell some - but not to members here.

The gen of this watch is now a waiting game at the AD due to the daytona hype. Personally I'd prefer arep of this than a daytona so I'm hoping ZF or someone similar give it a go.

Yep. I went on the list in April, I lost interest, gave up and got my deposit back in September - Tudor simply weren’t making enough, and the list ahead of me wasn’t getting any shorter. Seems this is Tudors way - launch and hype, then next to nothing.

Seems the same where I'm from. Wait lists are almost as long as a Rolex line for a Tudor. I thought this was supposed to be the affordable version of Rolex without the wait times.

Not just this one - it's pretty much every new release - GMT, BB58, BB58 Blue, 2021 Chrono, Pelagos FXD....

The AD's I've spoken to say it's not so much the demand, which is mostly tepid, it's just that Tudor isn't making many watches. In the meantime, they have their windows full of unsold Black Bays.

Folks like to think that Tudor is taking the fight to Omega - but that's just BS. They can't manufacture in volume

I ordered my Tudor Black Bay Chrono white dial from Hont in November and got it right before Christmas.

The watch looks not bad for the first version but it has some pretty obvious flaws like :

1. the crystal is very flat (biggest rep tell)
2. the crown has the wrong logo on it, should be 3D and not printed
3. the bracelet is very light and feels cheap

So I decided to upgrade this watch with some new parts :

1. installed a new curved crystal from an omega speedmaster moonwatch
2. installed a new crown with 3D rose logo from ZF
3. installed a new rivet bracelet and clasp from ZF
4. serviced the whole movement (cleaning and oiling)

I have to say that now the watch looks closer to gen for me and I’m happy with my result

Wow, this is a serious upgrade. Good work and I'm very envious.

Really hoping a V2 comes out or that ZF gives it a go. Given the hype around this watch a good rep would sell quite well.

Seems as though needles on the gen subdials are different and there's a missing dot @ 170 on the tachymeter

I have the watch. I'm fine with it. It has flaws but so do they all. I don't care for the bracelet so I got a ZF one for it.

I think I'll get one to use as a daily watch. The date window and lack of dot at 170 is annoying, but I doubt anyone would stare at your watch for that long to actually notice.

I’ve changed the crystal and raised the date wheel so it like much better now
