BK TW Submariner 16610LN

Guys!

I just bought a BK TW 16610 LN with gen ETA movement.

Is there any good readups on those? I read a little history about how the manufacturing came to an end (car crash).

But i would like to know more about these models, found an old @trailboss99 topic over on another forum if i recall correct.

How can i determine which version i have? And what are the differences.
The one i bought has the "desing" flaw in between the lugs.

Iam thinking about turning it into a 14060 or maybe a 16610LV but iam not sure yet, or is that sacrilegion?

Back in the day, BK sold WM9 watches before George died in a ca crash. Then he switched to using TW Best 16610 cases which are gen like also. Then he switched to selling 116610 reps. This was in the 2008-2010 time frame, maybe a little later. The TW Best watches were good but were supplanted by TC 16610s at some point. I don't know what happened to the TW Best cases, if they dried up or what. Sean also had nice 16610 rep cases and they also faded away. The mysteries of rep watch history!

I hope my tw bk sub with gen eta is worth it over a arf 16610!

I certainly think a Swiss eta is better than a VR/VS3135, but your eta is approaching 15 years old and may be due for a service. I just paid $200 to have a swiss eta 2836-2 serviced. I would leave your TW Best 16610 as is myself.

I will get the movement serviced, watch will be good to go for another couple of years than.

Probably will get the bracelet and case detailed as well, seems like the bracelet was cape codded but not sure.
Might do it myself with a brush wheel on a polishing machine or with some scotchbrites

How do these watches compare with the arf ones by the looks of them? Because if the bracelet isnt better than an ARF/RAF/TMF one i might swap it..
