Pulled the trigger on the BK TW Sub today. Can't wait!
I have been reading more of the forums lately and reconsidering my recent rep purchases and decided to go for quality over sheer quantity so decided to get one of the very best out of the box Sub reps available.

Cheap can be good but BK takes it to another level.

For the money I'm sure you'll be pleased. And, by pleased I mean it's beyond the usual neurotic second thoughts.

If you need to mod the CG's, its not the best out of the box imo.............if the CG's are modded & no modding needed, then thats a different story.

It's a great watch...you will have to trim the crown guards (if they aren't already done), but that's it. It's great OOTB!

The bk is great i have one. I really dont know or really care about the differences between the tc and the bk subs but they are both well made. No one is going to grab your arm and start joting down the little differences that a tc and a bk have. This is just for our hardcore rep guys who know the subs inside out. The thing i did was get a gen insert crown tube and crystal. I also bought tcv3 bracelet and its great. Anyway good luck to you and post pics.

The TC sub has the correct crown position. It uses a thinner ETA movement (2672?) to get the crown position correct.

The TW has an ETA 2836 movement so the crown position is just slightly lower.

I agree, these differences cannot be seen at arm length away...that's for sure.

Just curious how the TC surpasses the BK. shouldn't they be practically identical after bk's mods?

The BK/TW I bought had terrible looking CG's & I even asked whether they were trimmed to the seller & he said yes, well, it was a terrible job whomever did the trimming.

Ive yet to see a BK/TW CG's being gen like just like the TC........

Can you please show us overhead shots of the CG's & direct straight view of them. Imo, the CG's are a huge tell & I wont stand for bad CG's!

Pretty sure the TC uses a 2824 movement for its higher crown position.

Ive owned a BK/TW & it doesnt compare at all, the TC sub blows it out of the water!

The TC sub have rehautengraving that is VERY difficult to sand down so it looks genuine, as it must be done in the factory to be nicely and evenly made.

When You just use sand paper to remoove the engraving it will show very easy compared to a genuine.

I was lucky to get a TW sub from precioous time some year ago without engraving and that looks way better than the shaved rehaut on the TC sub.

Sorry guys, been super busy the last couple of days.

Here is the non-modified TW...

BK asked if I wanted the crown guards trimmed for a nominal fee ($30 or $40...I can't remember), but I told him I would do them myself, so he sent it to me unmodded.

In hindsight, I should have gotten him to do it because I've been way too busy to even look at them.

Mine came with the non-engraved rehaut.

That looks like the cg's could use a bit of a trim, but still really nice watch.

Still on thinking of getting the TC because I like the maxi dial with older case. The green is a bit different too.
