I have been happily wearing a 177L since it came out and soon got used to the size (I had never gone bigger than 40mm before), thing is I really fancy a fiddy but only have a 6.75 wrist. 3mm doesn't sound like much but will it be noticeable on the wrist?

Yes, and not because of the watch itself, but rather the wider and chunkier buckle, being 26mm. I have the same issue, thats why I'm going for a mini fiddy;)

I've got 6.75" wrists and happily rock my fiddy, 46mm B&R01 homages, and will be wearing my vintage 47mm PAMs when I've built them! :D

Yes, it's quite a large watch, but they are a 'must have' in any collection - once you've got one you want want to be without one! lol

Well, a fiddy needs to look large...

But still, I'd say the change from the normal PAM is quite large. I went the other way round, having started with a fiddy and only then moved to a 44mm case... And I must say that for the better of 2 days I though that it was too small for me... (OK, my wrist is like 7.75" so that might help...)

A 47mm Pam wears waaaaaay bigger than a 44mm Pam.

That being said, you did get used to a 44 and I've gotten used to a 47.

Now that you have you 44 the 40s feels small don't they? Wear that fiddy long enough and your 177 will feel small. ;)

That's the sad thing about bigger watches, my vintage rolexes (my first love) seem too small and my gen 36mm datejusts never get worn at all anymore!

I think mini fiddy may be the way to go but something keeps nagging at me that its the cowards way out!

Nice advice, you're bang on the same wrist size as me, do the lugs overhang your wrist at all? I think that's the tipping point, when a watch overhangs your wrist I reckon its too big... I wish I could beef myself up a bit, I briefly had a Breitling SA Franken once, it lasted a day on my wrist before I couldn't put up with my wife's mocking anymore and I sold it back to the original owner (whose own wife had nagged him about letting it go in the first place!)

I think it's fine... but this is my max that I would go. Take a look at the wrist shots.

And read this here.. cause my wrist width is 60-61mm, so I can wear watches up to 52mm lug to lug.

For reference, I tried to get two pics with the same scale... Probably not exact but that gives a reference...

My two homages:
