Just received my qc pic for the grey dial yachtmaster.

Is it a common flaw that the dates are more to the left?

I’m relatively new to all this but from my experience so far, it’s just common for dates to be off center in general... most common ones I see are too far left or too low.

If you are concerned, ask for pics with other dates... 8, 18, 28

I think an Xtal will be my first. Going to try and do it myself after some practice on a cheapie.

yup i did... turn out "18" was too far left. "6" and "26" was still in the acceptable range.

Figured I'd share some research & knowledge on a recent build of mine. You mentioned the JF was not compatible with parts aside from insert & etc. Can be worked around with a properly shaven down crystal retainer ring, perhaps from a v6s or genuine if you're brave. Pictures below:

May I know which is better out of the box? ARF 37mm YM or Noob 40mm YM? (Rhodium SS)
From what I've read, the ARF is newer and uses 904L steel but the bezel turning is horrible. The Noob 40mm is in the superrep NWBIG list but not the 37mm ARF.
Please help me out!! Thanks!

*The size doesn't matter as I have 6" wrist and own watches from 34mm to 41mm and am comfortable with them.

Hey all - in the review be mentions that the JF and NOOB cases are the same regardless of clone 3135 movement or A2824. Does anyone know if this is true for ARF as well?

Specifically I am wondering if I can put a VR3135 into a A2824 ARF (116622)
