Just thought I would mention that I bought my first rep as above I am delighted. Super accurate on time, looks great alongside my gen RG Portuguese black dial Chrono. A lovely thing for not much money. OK the strap could be improved and I shall attend to that in due course. But the watch? Lovely. In my mind, when I am wearing it, it is no less lovely or special than the one made in Schaffhausen. And for c. $350?? Amazing.

Yes, that's the thing with high quality replicas. A whole new watch costs less than having its gen counterpart serviced. And especially the ZF Big Pilots are very well made.

Leather straps of replicas are mostly of mediocre quality or flat out trash, but changing it is no big deal at all and will lift your watch up to a whole new level. Enjoy wearing it and don't feel shy to share some pictures.

ZF is indeed well made. I still have one left out of probably 6 different big pilots, however the movement is still a time bomb. I've sent this beauty to SpongeBob, 3 or 4 times. Over it's lifetime. I got it m2m, with 2XAR. Since then replaced the 2XAR crystal, strap from vic, movement twice... and the movement is on the way out again.

Let me clarify. The movement has been a time bomb for me. I'm sure others had better luck.

Something to think about: Increasing the modifications to a base movement increases the risk of failure. Annual calendars have the most modifications. They do look super cool though.

collect them all! 😁 I'm down to the one rep, but just purchased a gen 500912. They've dropped a LOT from retail.
