I have a Tag F1 Chrono SS/SS Black XTF Swiss Qtz, and the bezel got damaged, so I had to replace it. I reached out to the seller (USDCOME), and they quickly agreed to handle the repair for free - I just had to send it to the factory.
When I got the watch back, it looked flawless at first glance, but then I noticed the bezel wasn’t the same as the original. The "TACHYMETER" text isn’t properly centered between the 60 and 240 markers, and the text/numbers aren’t even engraved like before.
I spoke to the seller again, and they insisted that the factory only makes these bezels now. I wasn’t buying it - seemed like they just went with the cheaper option.
So, I reached out to Andrew at TrustyTime (who also sells this model) to see if he could hook me up with a bezel. But as soon as he sent the QC pics, it was obvious - same flawed design as the one they slapped on mine.
I tried explaining the differences to Andrew, but he maintained that this was the only version available from the factory. While he was professional and offered a refund, it felt like he didn’t fully acknowledge the inconsistencies I pointed out.
Below I have included a photo of my watch with the original bezel, and photos of the model sold on TrustyTime for purchase, as well as the QC picutre that Andrew sent me.
