I but the bullet on a few more new straps. After dadog13 mentioned how good gen rubber is, I picked one up along with a horous and some others. Anxious to check out the gen and compare it to the reps and the horous.

have all of them, gen, rep, Horus and krono

Gen is best
Horus is good, not as good as gen and a similar price point
Krono is EXACTLY the same as Horus for a fraction of the price - £18 on eBay (Bargain)
Rep is ok but not as good as any of the above as finishing is hit and miss.

By the way I have far far too many straps! lol (I will do a pick of my spares at some point)

Yes, I noticed the horus were 155 new and Panerai were 170 new. I thought the 155 was high considering they're not Panerai. And they don't have the branding or anything (obviously).

When you say Krono and Horus are exactly the same, you mean literally? or just feel the same? I mean you would think there would have to be some difference other than the $132 increase in price tag.

One thing I noticed is that inexpensive straps tend to not be anti-allergenic. Some girl I know is allergic to latex or something and whenever I got a questionable strap, I'd have her try it on. If her wrist blew up like a balloon, I knew it was a cheapo. I only did it a few times before I realized it was unfair to ask her to break out in hives because I was using her as a litmus test for cheap straps. She was a good-girl though because she was always willing. I am eager to see and test these out although I have a feeling they were a waste of money (I am just realizing now - impulse buy because I wanted to check them out because of what you said. lol) because in the context of the reps, I do not like the rubber at all.

But from experience, I have learned that you really have to try something... whether it be a watch of a strap or anything before you can definitively say whether you like or do not like something. We'll see. But s till keep me/us posted on all those items you don't use. I am in.

Regarding Asso Straps, as far as my knowledge is, they come from Hirsch.
