Anyone knows the best country to buy a Rolex currently? I'm guessing the UK due to the weaken currency rate and that the retail price has already been set early in the year. I never consider buying a Rolex due to the styling except for maybe a pro-hunter and also never imagine myself wearing a gold watch. But the new 116655 has me. I recall reading that you can get around 15% to 20 % off of a gold Rolex at AD, not sure if it apply to this new watch, any insights on this would help.

Norway is a huge destination for Rolex AD tourists. Especially USD and Asian currencies. Also the VAT refund is like 25%
The watches are than resold for profit at origin.

So far the cheapest prices I've seen, is at the AD in Zurich Airport. Is tax free too, no need to get tax refunds afterwards.

You only get back the tax after you official claimed it at the airport etc, right? So then the customs are waiting on you in your home country or......?

If you are going to buy a second hand one or grey imports, then Hong Kong imo. Oh yeah and japan is also pretty cheap for second hand.
