Lume is mismatched unfortunately. That was caused by a stroke at birth which is not that uncommon with cats. But he gets a long just fine. I'm thinking about having cwazy redo the lume. lol

got the greatest news today. It's been 6 months of trying to comply with the new laws set forth for exotic animal ownership. A ton of money in fees, permits, insurance, getting police, sheriff, and fire departments to sign off on paperwork. getting fingerprinted, background check. Having papers notarized. signing my life away basically if he ever bites anyone. But today, The department of Agriculture called me and told me that my permit to keep Benji has been approved. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It's been such a shitty year, but this is the best news I could have hoped for. I honestly didn't believe that I was going to be allowed to keep him for awhile there. I still have to add some fencing to my yard around the perimeter on one side, and make all the fencing around my yard 8 foot tall, no big deal. Other than that we are good to go. I made a video update about it here today.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive and always asking how Benji is doing and watching his videos. I'm glad to be able to share his life here with you guys. I'm working on a facebook page for him too and that should be up and running tonight hopefully thanks to Boss. Thanks again guys, and please share my videos with friends and family.

thanks fivo. I really don't know what I would have done if they didn't give me this permit. I tried not to think about it, but it was constantly on my mind.

Thanks Shoo. as long as everything is in compliance with the enclosure and my insurance and permit fees are paid they will renew it each year. They come out for an inspection once a year. They are going to come out again and do a final inspection and give me a written statement of everything that I have to do with the fencing, which they already told me, but just to be official they will come out again here soon, then I have to make the changes to the fencing around my yard, but the permit has been issued so there's no chance I will not be able to keep him.

I like to give Benji live prey for enrichment. The only problem is the domestic cats have to kill the prey I put in there and then Benji will eat it. I filmed for a good solid hour the other day and he just follows it around giving it kisses and playing a little soccer with it. This bobcat would never make it in the wild. Don't forget, a bobcat is the top predator in my state, above coyotes and everything else. This one is an embarrassment to his species. LMAO. But I love him anyway.
Enjoy.

Thank you guys. I know. I love him to death. I just find it so funny that he would rather play and make friends with prey. He definitely is spoiled.
Oh for sure fivo. He has his bobcat moments. usually about once a day. You just leave him alone at those times. If you don't he will attack for sure. It's just something that I'm always aware of and know the signs to look for. He may be a small cat, but bobcats are very powerful, and their jaws are extremely strong. A bite is not just going to be a small puncture wound. If they bite, they are intending to do damage. and they do. But he is one awesome boy. and I feel blessed everyday to be sharing my house with a wild animal like him.

Ok,, he tries to make friends with his prey like a rat that is a fraction of his size, but then my neighbor's st. bernard comes over and he wants to have her for lunch lol. he's known her since he was a baby, but has just never liked her.

This is a daily ritual that Benji does, He meets up or corners each animal in the house at some point during the day and grooms them. He also does it to me. I do't mind it but I onlly let him lick my head because if he gets any skin it feels exacly like a bad rug burn and it leave a mark jsut like a rug burn THeir tongues are so rough, but you just have to let them do it. and if you try to get up and move away he will growlad and get pretty pissed. Here's tongits video

Benji playing catch. I removed his pond yesterday because it had a huge crack in it. I thought he would be pissed, but he has been having so much fun in the hole where the pond was. I'm going to build a new pond here very soon but it's going to be all concrete and have a drainage system so I can clean it easier, but here's a video of him in the hole and playing catch with me last night.
