Belts from Darcy!

Looking forward to seeing the Hermes side by side. Im curious, Did the LV have all the proper markings?
Here y’all go. The smaller is my girlfriend’s gen. The two larger buckles are from Darcy. The belts are meant to be different colors and textures, but you can see that the rep belt is quite flexible. It’s definitely real leather and quite soft. I was very impressed. Gold color is very VERY close, but not 100%. I may gold plate mine anyway.
The paperwork, box, bag, tags, and sales receipt was so convincing it was scary. Makes me wonder about used LV items I’ve purchased with “original” receipts in the past.

Hi, for anybody wanting a gen-like belt here. I'm familiar with Hermes as a brand.
i don't think these two larger H belt buckles actually exists in gen.
(A similar Constance buckle etc exists in a large genuine buckle (gen Constance etc, is to fit a 42mm belt strap, your rep strap measures 38mm.)
but these just bought don't exist in gen.. right?
so is an obvious tell for me.
But most people would absolutely never know, and it just looks like a gd quality belt.
Also for people looking to buy the silver toned buckle, I don't know if it's helpful at all or not for you to know that the little square-shaped symbol after the word Hermes on the engraving there is actually referring to gold. Like the rep makers are trying to emulate a stamp to mark that 'it's gold', and actually all silver buckles in gen would not have any symbol after the word Hermes.
The quality of these belts to touch though is fantastic isn't it. And to touch, this copy is so similar to the genuine hermes's leather strap that it blows my mind that the real is so much more money.
Really good quality rep though.

Yep, you are totally right. I'm a Hermes belt collector (18 pieces atm).
What you bought is the well known rep size 38mm. This is, what gives it away. There are only the 42mm constance belts, the 32mm belt kits and for women even smaller 24mm/13mm ones.
LV Rep belts are the way to go, when choosing rep. As for Hermes I would always go gen because the quality is impeccable. The strap looks good though...

Yep. To the eye no one can tell the difference between 38mm (rep) and 42mm (gen) belt width of belt strap. I'm sure. So that's totally acceptable to me.. I wouldn't mind it myself, at all if it were mine. Nice.
But the big give away being just that this isnt a Constance h belt buckle shape at all anyway.
This rep is a shape of H buckle that does not exist bigger than your gf's 32mm genuine belt.
I don't know why all these replica factories make it hah.
They're such a lovely quality to touch though.

But that symbol is on the underside of the buckle. The only way you’re ever going to see that is if your eyes are below waist level and you’re very very close to me... and at that point I’ve already won.

Yeah, collection for about 4 years now. Just personal use, no reselling or anything like that. Especially the 32mm are in my focus. I try to get every H-buckle in all available colors (mostly gold/silver, sometimes roségold). Strapwise i collect, what i get, as i only rotate between cognac, chololate and nero. In the summertime I become a bit more colourful [emoji85]
If someone has a gen hammered gold/silver 32mm buckle to sell, please let me know!

Im a bit ocd maybe. I like everything to make reasonable sense to me. Silly I know.
Also some rep places do sell silver buckles without the little symbol. But I know you don't mind it. Here's a buckle your size I have when I was experimenting with reps available. But it's your shape too and doesn't exist in gen.
So I can't wear it. Just posting if incase anyone who similarly is too picky wants to know they're available somewhere out there lol

Hermes do make a Constance buckle in big 42mm. This is available at some rep places and there is a gen version. See the shape of the 'H' is slightly different to yours
But there was never a real Hermes buckle shaped like this one (pic below) made any bigger than a 32mm small belt.
Never to fit a big mans belt strap like you bought. Only your gf's 32mm
