Thank you! Oven and a Tamiya weathering kit for models.i seriously like this.
What ageing technique on dial? Coffee and oven? or paint?
Thanks! Yes, the Brevet crown came with the $50 Raffles case.Did Brevet crown came with Tiger case?
And although I do admire your build - I am having issues regarding bezel teeth nr. & shape... Not even close
Everthing else is very nice - exellent to say regarding pricewise.
If you do it, I’d do a light mist only. After re-assembling, the hands looked too “chalky” under the plexi and too uniform in color and shine at basically any angle. I went back to different hands and lightly sanded them. Calling it done for a while...need to stop tinkering with this. Haha.Keep eye on detail looks better. I need to do this
Great tips. I ended up using vinegar, salt, and hydrogen peroxide to tarnish the hands. Then did a very light spray of matte varnish from a distance. Much better! I may continue experimenting on other hands.i do two things to age my hands.
spray alcohol and salt, leave for some time
rince and dry
then
spray mat varnish in a very short burst from a distance (just like for the dial technique)
this gives a rather credible oxidization pattern
Here’s screen used 16 mm for comparison:isn't that strap a bit skinny?
