You are over thinking your purchase. No Rep is perfect but unless your friends are watchmakers nobody knows the difference. Most people don't know much about watches. Buy the watch and enjoy then find your next watch.
Yea i see, haha messaged the TD and wait for his reply atm
Thanks you for your advice

@FitScience , This is an honest question. Why do you feel the need to upgrade it right away? Why not get it first, enjoy it for a while, and only consider upgrades later if you really fall in love with it?

I’ve upgraded most of my reps over time, some with gen parts, others with higher-end aftermarket bits. But truth be told, not every one of them ended up being the one. And selling a modded rep can be a pain, since not every buyer will appreciate or even want the upgrades. You’re left with a pricier rep you don’t actually love.

So my advice is to wear it first and mod later. For Daytonas, Clean is a safe bet. Their crystals are consistently subpar, not just on the Datos but across the board. Still, the pros outweigh the cons. Even with weak crystal game, they’re solid reps. You won't go wrong with Clean.
I guess my view point is, im in Australia so i want the best OOTB experience with just a but extra cost. 😋 Im just the kind to get super attched with my first, so want its to look the best too.
Modding here also seem to be very hard especially for newbie. So From everyone response, Im happy with the clean daytos with only crystal update.
Th8/ should last me for next 5 years haha 🤩

You’ve already gotten lots of great perspective from people that are much more knowledgeable than me, all I wanted to add is that a) you clearly did a lot of research in this which is great and b) it looks like a probable case of diminishing returns for somebody to go so far down the rabbit hole at high cost to change things in relatively minor ways.
Im pretty brand new and so in my case, finding a watch that’s great ootb and holding it and wearing it before I decide to change anything is extremely important for me. So I don’t spend a ton to fix an ounce. Some of the guys here that are much further along their rep journey and have much better eyes than me might decide it’s worth it for them. As an example, @Karbon74 is so picky he doesn’t like my paragraphing…
Have you read up on the timelines for how long it can take to get your qc/watch in hand? That will potentially alleviate a lot of anxiety down the road.
