hi guys, so i recently got into wearing bead bracelets with my watches. absolutely love how they look together&all. problem i have is the beads scratching e side case of my watch.

is it even possible to prevent it&also, will getting them polished rid the side case of the scratches.?

here're some pics.

i've resented to the fact that its one of those, "part of e deal" kinda things but maybe the more experienced can advise or offer suggestions.

note: i believe these beads are made of some sort of stone, beads are smooth surfaced. at least to human touch. but they're cheap, like USD10 for it.

thanks!!

I fear this also, perhaps swap to all leather bracelets?

Im going to purchase a few in the aliexpress sale, and see how it goes, it is causes any damage whatsoever, and I don't wear them again, no big loss I guess....

Errrr CapeCod the polished surfaces and rebrush the brushed. Easy enough.

I as well where them with watches, and it is something you have to deal with, or put the beads on the opposite side of the watch. That was the crown area keeps it away from the rest of the watch. I am however, going to look for beads that don't scratch as easy, or away to kee them away as I sell these bracelets online [emoji851] lol

Never understood this fashion trend myself. I saw all the pictures on instagram and though it looks tacky. But that's just me I guess. I'm in Japan and my wife has some stone beads. According to her the beads should not touch anything...some spiritual connotations...which I normally disagree with anyway.

Yes those are stones/rocks on yours, Onyx (polished & matte) and possibly a Jasper family rock on the blue/green. They look to be around 8mm, and the only bead not polished is the black matte which is finished that way for the look. Re-polishing wouldn't help this. Piece of clear tape on the side of the watch case (scotch tape) is best solution I have found for it if worn alot . Or go down to 6mm which rides at the bottom of the case when wearing and less scuffs. And as said above, capecod and or re-brush.
Btw, I make these and wear them with my watches daily.

If the bracelets are fit right and properly polished (no rough edge beads or focal beads with harsh angles) there shouldn't be enough play in the fit for them to scratch anything really...

I always wear bracelets with my watches and have yet to have an issue.

As others have said repolish/refinish if there's damage. But, after that make sure everything fits as it should. Also, if you have bracelets with metal focal beads, try putting a spacer bracelet with just rounded stones like in the pic above; makes a good buffer.

Caution with stingray leather though, you'll get micro scratches if it has contact with the case.

I dont like the look personally. Why would anyone wear anything on the same wrist that will most likely scratch the watch? Seems dumb in my opinion. A leather bracelet or wooden/plastic beads sure, but metal/stone/etc?... no way!

Unless you are vintage aging a PAM or something...

Well that's quite an extreme statement for the bracelets... I don't think anyone finds it a disgrace. and I don't think anyone needs to grow up for wearing a bracelet

As its already been said... Wood or leather only, metal is a bad idea but hey some people like scratching their watches! Try cape cod cloth maybe?
