@KJ2020 - You have been the reason for so much of my motivation in this hobby and you've helped me countless times. With my absolute deepest sympathy, I'm so sorry your wife is going through this, yet I'm grateful she's still here with you. Everything takes priority, and as your wife has always been at the top, now it's even higher. Nothing. Absolutely nothing is more important than your family. You, your wife, and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers always.

Best wishes bro.

I like your supporter line. It drives me crazy when I see members that have been here for years that don't support this outstanding site.

@KJ2020, I wish you and your wife a lot of strength during this time and a speedy recovery.
I think I know how you're feeling right now, as not so long ago I also had to fear for my wife's life (due to a wrong diagnosis from the doctor).
In any case, there's nothing more important to you right now than being there for your wife and supporting her recovery with all your love.
I think I speak for all members when I say we're looking forward to you returning to RWI.🥰🙏

Bad story to read but with a lucky end.
It is always hard to bear when something so bad happens to friends or family members. So it's all the nicer to be able to enjoy the newfound time with these people.
All the best to you both.

Ahh K, what a fragile thing life is. And yes, precious time with a loved one is far more important than any of our hobbies/obsessions (although it can be quite hard to come to terms with that, I have to ruefully admit, through personal experience..!).

Thank you for posting about the experience, there's a really powerful message and advice here for us all to heed, both emotional and practical.

Love and best wishes to you both. x

Wish your wife a speedy recovery, and you the strength to help along this journey.

Always appreciated your generosity of time and advice.

I used to be in charge of a Life Support training center and STRONGLY recommend everyone (including family members) take a CPR class. If you have a pool and young children, take pediatric CPR as well. Or at the very least watch this video and practice on your pillow. You never know when you will find yourself in a similar situation to KJ. The first few minutes are gold when it comes to minimizing neurologic impairment.
