Very nicely done sir. I'm impressed!
From what donor watch came the numerals?

To bad a prof crystal would be about 3 times the cost of the entire watch....

The donor watch was a Megir "multifunction" abomination that I found on Aliexpress. Truly horrible and i bought it purely for the numerals and junked the rest. I'll try to find the picture if it exists.

Yeah that's why I haven't AR'd it, cost more than the watch! Lol

Honestly most people would even know about the extra pushers. With regular folk they dont even know which is fake or real. Only us watch nerds care for that. Its only the ones who truly know the brand and or the model. Had a friend whos into AP Gen look at my Marina Militare Panerai Homage and he though it was Panerai. He knew the look but nothing else. His brother had the Emergency 2 which is my dream watch. B50 is getting around $3k usd now for used. Which isnt bad but I just cannot spend even that much for a quartz. I think their prices should be $1500-$2500 new not the $6-8k. But thats my opinion which I know Breitling doesnt agree. Im just hoping soon a TD will offer a rep soon.

Although the gen B50 does indeed look cool there were 2 things which put me off, gargantuan size not included :

1) on the Night Mission model, the titanium bezel, DLC treated... The numbers are laser etched through the DLC. Not deep like the rep, but literally like smooth. So if you were unlucky enough to scuff the large bezel, the numbers would be ruined.

2) the thickness of the watch. What is Breitlings own calibre similar to the slimmer watches like Airwolf, B-1 etc but with a battery charging module... The thickness is unwieldy. This thing dwarfs the original Emergency?!
Far too easy to knock it on something (like I did) and if I wore a shirt, this thing was reminiscent of an ankle tag on my wrist!

Sorry to hijack the thread. I'll stop after this.

Here's the donor watch. The only pics I could find.
At the time, they sold it in different colours. So there was also a silver numeral version. It may be discontinued now.

That's what I mean, I think it's out of production.

I was expecting the numbers to be metal applied to the dial in the same way as a baton...
But they are like foil! Gently glued on, so they were very easy to pick off using a sharpened toothpick.

Jeez, what a abomination. Haha..
But pretty good for parts indeed.

Come to think of it... Why not take the wings logo from the b50 and stick it on the megir. Nwbig for sure :harhar:

They seem to have a number of social media channels.
If the price is low enough it might be worth a gamble

Ok ordered it. So just use a sharpened toothpick to slowly peal offf the numbers? What did you use to stick them to the watch? And does the smaller 3,6,9 also come off easily? Sorry for all the questions I am doing this kind of modification for the 1st time.

Hey no worries.

Yes the Megir numbers come off easy but be very careful as they are delicate! Use some light glue like pva on a toothpick, literally like a pinhead of glue. If you mess up you can remove the glue quickly so have a Q-tip moistened with water nearby.
Don't use superglue as it gives off a white foggy residue.
Don't be tempted to use any kind of solvent near the dial, I've ruined printed dials by using solvent!

The crappy 369 numbers on the rep can be picked off with a toothpick or similar, perhaps use a small patch of tape that you've pressed onto clothing (so it's less sticky) and place it near the number, so you don't scratch the dial.

You don't have to remove the hands if you're not lacquering the dial.

Thank you. I cant wait. As I kept looking at Emergency the 1st edition the 43mm you can see where those smaller 369 came from.

It arrived. Im actually excited. Not perfect. Some misalignment like the ring around the dial moves with a hard shake with the wrist. I removed the band right away with a rubber one I ordered at the same time. Cant wait for hopefully the other watch to come in to move the 3 6 9 to this one so its the correct side.

Wanted to know how do you remove the stem? I cannot find the pin anywhere.
