Believe it or not........today is 2 December and on this day in 1983 the fourth episode of television perfection aired.

By this time basically the only new names being registered at Births, Death and Marriages were........Oz, Dennis, Neville, Wayne, Bomber, Moxey or Barry........either as a sole Christian name or a combination of each or all.

In my own little world today is 9 December and on this day in 1983 the fifth episode of the greatest thing to ever hit our visual and audio senses.

By now........not only were new borns being Christened with the names of these lads but adults were also now changing their surnames by deed poll with such names as........Patterson, Hope, Osborne, Taylor, Norris, Moxey and Busbridge.

If life was the TV show Bewitched we could twitch our nose and make today 16 December........but since Barbara Eden was a helluva hotter we'll cross our arms and nod instead.

On this day in 1983 the sixth episode of The Auf Pet phenomenon was now becoming a runaway roller coaster ride of success.

As word got around globe........airlines could not keep up with the severe demand put on them as tens of thousands of people were booking tickets to the UK due to the fact that they just couldn't wait for this genius work of art to come to their shores.

Finally Christmas prezzies could now be opened

as Christmas day in 1983 was a very solemn one due to the fact that Auf Pet........for some obscure reason that's beyond any and all comprehension........was not shown the week before and all were naturally having severe withdrawal symptoms.

If I was in a little rubber room........I'm sure many are convinced that I am........today would be 6 January.

On this day in 1984 the eighth episode of the majestic superiority of television known as Auf Wiedersehen Pet graced the airwaves with it's presence.

On New Years Day the only resolution first and foremost in everyone's was........"If I should die before the next episode........".

Sure enough........all those unfortunates that met with an untimely demise arose like Lazarus lest they miss an episode.

Lucky they did as this episode had the added bonus of a young Ray Winstone making an appearance.

A bit of trivia........

Ray Winstone who played Colin in this episode was nearly on set for the whole nine months of filming as it took so long to film his parts.
