Audemars Piguet SIHH 2013 New releases thread

$21800...Boutique only, due to anticipated low production numbers

**Forged Carbon Divers are discontinued.

Other releases are a number of new Jules Audemars pieces, especially in Ladies watches, which are a special focus this year.

There is also a 44mm ceramic Offshore Chronograph with the same dial as the current Forged Carbon piece. And some very limited Grande Complications.

Not a lot of glamorous novelties this year. If you find some pics, post them in this thread!

I still prefer the look of the SS diver...

Really? It really isn't hittin it for me... that orange is strongly reminiscent of the IWC aquatimer... maybe it'll grow on me after a few people show their wrist shots, but for now it's a 'meh'

I wish they'd have repped a decent millenary though.

Edge - that Quincy Jones you were trying to have repped would have been an easy one! Too bad it was a no go

IRO the diver, if the noob did commit to making it, do you have any idea what the usual lead time is? (i understand you may have no idea, just curious)

Please don't get me wrong - I'm not trying to bash anything. I just prefer a more polarizing look - hence I like the original SS diver best

I'm sure you're very much not alone in preferring the SS version

It's funny how similar the dial is to the IWC, is the orange part an actual feature that divers use? As it goes to similar place as IWC..

A little bit sad to hear that they've discontinued the carbon Diver, but I can totally understand why. The carbon is already a delicate material to work with and isn't really suited for diving/high pressure requirements.

Ceramic is a nice addition to the collection but lacks the enginuity and boldness we're used to seeing from this company.

True, although I'm fond of the orange touch, I can't help but find that this year's new releases are a bit lackluster and plain, thanks to black (perpetual calendar ROOs excluded). No new numeral dial ROO as well.

But, I'll always love anything that AP releases.

not just AP I find. personal opinion of course, but I'm fairly disappointed with the overall 2013
lineup of watches. the Panerai selection really let me down, not a fan of where they've turned this year.

as for this diver, I can't help but see IWC screaming at me when I see it.
it just feels like a completely unoriginal design.
