Just received my gold novelty. Very happy indeed. There are some issues though, like the hour chronograph moves without the chronograph being on. Not sure whether thats the same problems u guys have. Also theres some visible scratches on the pushers causing some discoloration of the gold. Any of u guys experience that problem? Will the gold wear off as i use more of the chronograph. I will post some pics as soon back from work.

Is that a common problem on these new AP's or just bad luck for you?

I have a 6.3in wrist and have 2 on the way

Most people I see wear 55mm Invictas and Diesels anyway

My wrist is on the smaller size. I also have a pam389, the novelty actually looks a lot bigger on my wrist.
I think it also has a lot to do with the gold. It makes the watch look a lot chunkier.
15400 fits a lot better. Anyways minus the 44mm and the weight, no complains about the watch.
Its a great catch!

I've heard about the movement issues in the ROO chronos. Is this a concern for this? I love the watch, but my thinking that simple is better has me leaning toward a Diver.

I'd like to get feedback (if those more educated on such issues would chime in) re if my concerns are warranted...

Thanks in advance!

some people are lucky with the movement and it works, some people are not. You always can do a service on the movement and improve the sec &12. And yes, same movement as the ROO. Out of 20 ROOs I had so far, one was bad with sec &12. But I do a service when I get a new ROO and all is fine.

I have had 3 bad sec@12s out of about 20. I had 2 really good ones with more than 48 hours reserve, however,. Sometimes these movements can be improved or repaired very easily, sometimes they require an incredible lot of work to get running acceptably.

I've had a real mix but of the new AP 44's I've had problems with the movements in both the panda and the RG

One had the chrino problem described here with the hour hand running in real time and not working if the chrono was on, the other had a very stuttery seconds hand that wobbled and jumped in 5-9 second moves and has very poor power reserve less than 8 hrs one is with Domi now the other will go after to see if the jewel mod and service will fix it
