I stabbed the shit out of my index finger and got so pissed that I ripped the rubber strap. Most frustrating strap change ever.

I have to deal with these $@#$ straps all day long... I have sympathy for you all.
Now i've got to redesign my inserts if I'm going to offer for 44mm, which means buying a 44mm for $700? to test everything.. Suffice it to say I'm not sure I want to play.

4gtr:Surprise, surprise: an OEM strap designed specifically for the gen 44mms fits the rep FC 44mm like a glove--with no gap. And the OEM GP strap does not without a 1mm gap.
Two conclusions:
1) the 44mms and the GPs have completely different strap systems.
2) the FC 44mm is truly gen-spec in its strap mounting system.
I really do feel Audemars Piguet and J12 factory are laughing at all of us here.

Mh, I said this before, the GP has a gap on the FC but, lol, not on the Panda. Fits like a glove as you say.
Now which strap did you put on your FC, still looking for one but I do not want to spend $500 for gaps.

Looks like you need to buy 2, FC and Noob versions, just joking but there is a difference.

I have a dlc coming in, need it for parts and for lwo test.....so I can put the strap on by myself when it is here.

Same thing here. I ended up using a razor blade to get rid of that rep strap. Now watch is at the spa getting pampered. Will post pics with that GP OEM strap.
There is no OEM hornback for 44mm. The one above is a slightly stretched out old HK Tan without inserts. Sometimes old shoes are good for something.
IMO, it's the FC 44mm that isn't quite gen spec in its case/lugs construction. All the OEM straps for 44mm APs should fit without an obvious gap.
This has also happened with the FC Diver V3. It has a gap when I mounted my OEM red rubber on it while there isn't any when mounting the strap on my H-fac FC Diver.
So I think it's a consistent flaw across this same maker FC watches.

Chris, the "gap" is insignificant to me. When it's on my wrist I don't notice it. I am ordering two more OEM's today in XL length. So it won't stop me from putting on my FC.
