Very nice job, but why not while at it, fix the white seconds @12 to the correct grey like on the gen LBJ? considering all the mods, making the correct grey is a very easy mod, and a big tell on the watch!!

Probably because, as AP's own promo video shows, it is white, and not the grey which some sites appear to show. I would trust AP's own colour balance rather than 3rd party sites:

I am with you 100%, but just like car manufacturers, sometimes happens that there will be a last minute change for a very small detail on the car, the head lights, the fog lights and so on. I believe watch makers sometimes go on the same process, and while the promo and the first CGIed pictures came out with the white hands @12, it has been changed to grey. Having said that, I have seen the watch in person, the color is not as white as what it showed on the first pictures released from AP, it was just like all the rest of the pics and videos of the actual watch on the net, grey colored. that's why I was surprised to see the efforts to mod the watch to perfection, and was saddened to see that this tell wasn't fixed.

After giving it much thought, when I receive the watches, I have decided that the new A3126 rep (opposed to the A7750) smoothens out and makes the hour hand base look much more natural. That is no longer a problem for me, so I will continue to worry about the date window position and not about the wide base of hands.

If you look at the pictures, the A7750 hands are rounded off on the edges, while the A3126 create a 90° angle, thus making it look more smoother. Maybe it was just a factory flaw on the A7750 one I saw, but unless I get that flaw as well, I'm fine with the wide base of hands.

I don't have one yet. I am planning to buy 3 soon but I am currently saving up for a gen so as soon as that is over I will buy 3 LBJs. I can try to see if I can locate the pics of the rounded hour hand and the pics of the smooth hour hand, if you'd like.
