ARF Datejust Fluted bezel turning yellow?

I was on the Rolex site the other day looking at dials available on the 41 and I noticed, to my surprise, that the fluted bezel is a $2000 option making the watch $9,900 S opposed to $7,900.
I thought it was a few hundred (500) bucks. Maybe.

Oh got it. DJ 36 smooth vs WG is $1250
DJ41 smooth vs WG is $2000.
Always checked 41 price. I got smooth green DJ 5 yrs back and it was still $2K.
When you choose smooth on the Rolex site it clearly says its SS bro and fluted is WG only.
Oh..I thought he's saying both 36 fluted and 41 fluted. Smooth is SS for all Datejust.

Why don’t you just get some metal polish and polish that rhodium crap off it and expose the stainless steel Underneath. It will probably take you 15 minutes. This is assuming ARF uses stainless steel and it’s not a brass bezel or something underneath. You can also but aftermarket stainless steel bezels cheap. I wouldn’t spend the money on a real solid gold one.

I changed it myself. You just need a bezel removal tool and a crystal press. About $50 in tools and 15 mins work
Did it turn white or any issues?
I had the same issue with 3 x ARFs and used metal polish and the result was acceptable.

The polish restored the shine, however more steel like. I’m very happy with the result.
