Hi all
After combing through posts after posts and recommendations from outstanding members of the community, I went with the ROF Batman. It’s my first go around so I asked for assistance on what to look for and I am glad that I did. KJ2020 definitely provide insight on things that I overlooked. After reviewing the pics, I decided to ask for another pair to review. TD denied and said it was good to go since this is the best they have. Thoughts on the issues found during the QC? Was I wrong in asking for another watch to review? Info below. Thanks.
The crystal is bad on these. The numbers aren't straight, there's some distortion even in a head on view. Batch issue.
The insert is really excellent except for 2 things. The 18 transition is pretty low. Often that is done so there's no join line or speed bump in the number, but this one is lower than it needed to be. Also it looks like the 18 was actually engraved too far toward the 16. The spacing is not even on both sides of the 18 to the other numbers. The 8 in 18 is centered on the 45 minute tic. What should be centered there is the bottom of the 8 holes. Compare the red lines showing distance to previous marker
The rehaut is really badly misaligned at the crown. The crown is almost entirely untouched by the 60 minute tic.
