Its not a super rep otb, its borderline first class IMO - but on the eye the DW is a tell. Even with the “better” examples of the stock DW which is decent in lower numbers the higher numbers are too chunky. Make no mistake about it, this is still a great rep out the box! If i had to pick id vote 2, but i think you need another option 3 - which is neither.

Change the DW you have a first class rep, change the DW and the xtal you have a super rep.

As for the position of the crown, only 0.01% of the world would notice, even with a gen side by side to the rep most dealers wouldn’t pick this up. I am very confident of this.

To summarise you can have a watch you will never be called out on that will 99.9% the same as a gen (aesthetically) for less than £900 - this is also more than doable, and IMO the best example of a franken you can go for right now.

I also wouldn’t trust any of the side by sides or videos next to gen.

I haven't the time for a macroscopic analysis and write up of those pics, however the recent Batman, Pepsi, as well as a whole bunch over in the AP section have been debunked.

I don't trust them at all. They are created to drive demand. And deceive chumps.

For me SELs are bigger flaw than the crown position...on most of them it have gaps on 11 and 5 o clock (top left and bottom right) and it is flushed with lugs,especially when you look it from sides it is obvious

Imo first class. Like the SD43 it has the DW problem, but on the DJ41 thread it seems like luck of the draw, some has nice DWs. The xtal is decent, isnt a major call out.

I have one here. Love the feel but the date wheel fontt is terrible and the slow date change with the 2824 is a proper stupid decision.
Dates meant to snap over at midnight ARF, hence the Datejust name ????

Its just a few minutes...for a small fraction of the price, I don't think that's really a big flaw. Besides, doubt you would stare at it before every mn haha.
