Hey brotha... to get your gen dial installed, did the feet of the dial have to be clipped, or was the movement modified a bit so that the dial could sit correctly?

Yeah my modder actually made a special disc for the gen dial to fit onto so that for future dial swaps its just a case of clipping it out and in. But I believe he clipped the feet too.

Interesting. That's smart. It would be nice to preserve the feet and i was reading about a guy who did this by modifying the movement somehow. But it seems pretty much everyone else clipped the feet.

Although, I do really like your modder's idea! Arf does a good job with their dials. But I want that Wimbledon dial.

Fluted bezel should be made from white gold, gold has a higher mass than steel. That's the difference, plus the bracelet is slightly less well made probably 5g difference there. But who cares, no-one measures the mass of watches in real life.

Of course...thank you!!!

Picture of my gen dial gen dw and gen crystal mitchruss and whomever else it was that pm'd me.

Nice build, looking amazing!! I did a similar one with Rhodium Dial.

For some reason, the oyster bracelet on mine left gaps in the SEL. Then i switched to Jubilee and now it looks like yours, perfect SEL no gaps.

I think it varies for each modder. Mine was able to make a custom movement holder but left the dial intact (that was my ask, didn't want dial to lose value)

Pre 2016 the DJ36 had the 3135, post 2016 it comes with the 3235. The DJ41 didn't exist before 2016 and has always had the 3235 movement. The DJ2 although considered 41mm it is different than the true DJ41 and it also came with the 3136 movement and was produced from 2009 to 2015. There are a couple reps that come with the 3235 movement and I have tried but as of yet can not source just the movement from any TD's, yet. I too want to build a rep as accurate as possible.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks for the info mate! Just to check, there's no way that i can mod the DJ41 with SH3135 & Gen DW?
As i already gotten the parts (SH31315 + Gen DW + blackhole xtal), trying to see if there's is any way to rectify it without incurring more cost.

I suppose you could use the datewheel as an overlay still, which is how it's done in the a/eta 2824 movement

No.

Sell them on here and recoup your costs that way, take a small hit on money and your pride.

Do the job properly, 3235 date wheel. ETA 2824 movement. Genuine Crystal.

On the upside, you'll never make this level of mistake again :p

Quick question. Looking for a datejust 41mm black dial, oyster bracelet and smooth bezel. Does anyone know any trusted dealers? I have been searching on the website from Intime or chazingtime but couldn’t this model.

So that one don’t exist in ARF. I assume the ARF is better than the Noob. Thank for your information

Unfortunately there is no ARF with smooth bezel. I`m also looking for yours (in blue), so I have to choose between Noob or RZF.
Since I already have the superb ARF rhodium flutet bezel, I may take the ARF again...
