what exactly do you guys mean by "fast hour" hands? never heard that one before

It is simple, think at the time being 12 sharp, both hands should be perfectly aligned with the 12 marker right? Now think the hour hand being not aligned correctly thus being a bit to the right of the 12 sharp, then it will be all out of sync for all 12 hours, so it will be a bit fast on 1, 2, 3 etc... see my pics and visualize this

Of course, it's difficult to replicate green. It's only a matter of time. I had the gen several times on my hands. The comparison I've published can be very useful for many young members. I think it's much more useful than just text ...

Thats true but they try to replicate the green for years and still fail

i understand now thanks for explanation. im already desperately looking for an ARF in M2M sales as i recently sold my Noob v7. the insert on that was terrible and your pics convinced me even more the ARF is the right choice.

Its not as simple as picking the right colour, the gen insert reacts differently in different lights - sometimes it looks metallic. Its not a flat colour. Sure, they'll get it right one day. But i don't think today is that day.

Here are 2 examples of an incorrectly applied hand set.
To check, you need to confirm that the position of the hour hand is correct vs the minute hand.

The SD43 is plagued with this problem, and I've seen a few ARF Subs with the issue as well.

This is probably caused by one moron at the factory who is not doing it properly, so if ARF are reading this, then they need to fire his ass.

35 and 45 markers are engraved touching the edge of the bezel on those gens so it's not just an ARF thing.

Just catching up on the thread,watches look great!! Waiting on my qc and I’ve seen the hour hand misaligned mentioned above, any tips for when I check this when I get my qc. Is it just a case of get the time set bang on an hour and see where the hour hand sits?

Yes simple as that, just ask to be set exactly at any “o’clock” and make sure the pic is taken straight at the dial
