So I finally recieved my 3 Pam's today from a Trusted Dealer and I just don't get it. I realize that these are REPLICA'S but do you have to spend $400 plus to get a good PAM REP? These 3 are as bad as the $150 Replica I bought 5 years ago from a scam site. Plastic strap flimsy hands and the Panerai on the Buckle is not even a solid etching. Please help me understand so I don't waste anymore money! If you have to spend $400-$500 I would have half way been there.
So Frustrated!

Where did you buy them? Which models?

I consider anything under $150 basically a throwaway rep. No offence to the dealers, but these watches are really not quality pieces. I'd say you have to spend at least $250-$300 to get into the league of good reps. Just my 2 cents!

Just post the links or some pics. Yes - he is harsh but you are allowed your opinions and questions.

And, yes - the $99 Pams will be crap.
For $250-300 you'll get decent.
$400-600 you'll get a very nice rep that is very close to gen.
$700-1200 you'll get one that is 99.5% there.
$5000 you'll get perfection. (gen)

Pams are a very odd watch in that many people who would not spend $250 on a Breitling because the date font is off and the lume markers are too round (neither of which would be caught by 99% of the Breitling owners out there) will spend $350 on a Pam to use as a base for mods, which will take months and hundreds of dollars more, then post pics asking people to pick it apart and tell them what else is wrong so they can spend more time and money getting it closer. It's a strange group, these Paneristas!

I just ordered a $99 Pam. I'm not expecting too much, but my plan for this is to mod it.

Ok that answer was very helpful. So Even a Pam logo from Joshua for $178 is worthless? I may change my order!

$99 dollar Pam's are embarrassing. It's a definite call out unless you are alone, and you are calling yourself out.

Hands are paper, sausage dial is flat and strap was plastic, NYC, Canal Street.

yup.

get what you pay for really.

you forgot to mention the terrible looking movement with a stickered logo, and
probably with an incorrect caseback. also sunken cannon pin, cg pin, floppy
lever and the list goes on. plus the lume is crap.

if you want a nice pam rep, contact DSN, and pay about $350+

Metal bracelet will not close on one side and pin head is stripped. Will not screw all the way in. I feel like I'm on candid camera. I don't even know why someone would buy one of these for a project? What would one use on this project? There would be nothing left cause it all needs to be replaced with higher quality pieces. So frustrsted, obviously.

These are the $99 on Time4Direct,

Yes. Same goes for just about any $100 rep. False economy. Just spend a little more and get the good versions.

What sort of PAM do you want? GMT? Chrono? Manual? Auto
The 'ultimate's from the cartel are good;
But you'd want them re-lumed and have the AR stripped or re-coated.
Crown and crown guard too.

If you don't want to mod the watch get a DSN. Decent lume out of the box.
Work out what PAM you want then ask the forums. They'll point you to the best version of that model.

IMHO the DSN submersible's are very nice pam's right out of the box ...
I like his PVD pam's as well :)

Or why not one of the new 7753 ones, they look great, though they are all well above $100,-

OK Well I have $300 and could go up to $500 if need be at Perfect Clone. I have put an order on hold there cause I didn't what to do this again and be unhappy. I really liked the look of the 063. I also like the Logo. So can someone advise me at Perfect Clone what I should lean toward. I can not get my $300 back from him but will add another $200 if I got something decent. I was going to do this with DSN but after reading another thread someone said go to Joshua at PC.

Crap shoot isn't it!

I will mod it if I must but I want something that I could put on my wrist without putting a wristband over it when I walk out!

I googled Pam 063c and came up with a dude on RWG with an absolutely bueatiul collection and then started seeing more and morter GMT's. I think this is the way I really want to go.
THANKS FOR SAVING ME!

I can not get my money back from PC. I did that for a while and wasn't quite ready to drop $500 plus. If I do it over time then I am ok, or can justify it. I just sold a gen Rolex GMT and was trying to go the opposite way, wife wants me to get a Timex. Haven't been able to pull the trigger on a Timex yet!

So need to buy something there that I can I guess mod over time but want something decent out of the box and not 3 pieces of absolut GARBAGE that I bought from Time4Direct. So after this I will be upto $650!!!!!!
