Aquaracer 500M Differences between these two. Experts please!

I'm willing to buy one of this Aquaracer 500M swiss movement...

And after a looooooong seeking I still can't tell the difference between these two:

First this one from Tony (ASIAN7750) priced at 328-348$ depending on the strap:

Different movement

Tony : SW-200, Swiss Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph, Exact as per the Original Tag Hauer Movement used for this model of watch .

Angus: Nickel plated Swiss 2824-2 25J automatic movement at 28800vph.


But appart from that , I asked Tony why is his much more expensive and he told me that it's another version from ANOTHER MAKER with DIFFERENT DIAL!!!

But I can't see the differences... Only thing is that on Tony's one the colour of "CALIBRE 5" looks more RED and on Angus one looks more ORANGE which would be more correct I think (GEN is ORANGE....) But that's maybe just from the photo...


So what do you think?? Aren't really the same watch with just different movement??

Which one to buy??

I had the SW200 25J one, and it was worth it. the movement was extremely smooth, well made, and finished. The decoration is spot on to the gen.

If the puretime is real Swiss it is not worth go to the much more expensive Sellita SW200
Go to Puretime IMO

The quality of "Swiss" ETA novements in reps has been discussed at length. I would either go Selita or clone.

Also, I think the color difference is in the photo, as both watches have second hands about the same degree lighter than the text.

btw inaccuracies of the watch.

Colors of the orange is off.
Tag Heuer Logo looks "bloated", very crude looking, bad looking arrows.
The hour markers are not aligned correctly.
The tracking of 500M on the dial is off.
the cyclops might not be aligned.

basically, the dial lol

Mine from Puretime has also the SW 200.

My Advice look at the logo arrows at the QC Oics mine is without them.

But it's a great watch.

The puretime one appears to have the off-centered "10" that sits too far towards the right lug at minute 15 - asian7750 looks like the corrected version.

I got one with the Swiss ETA movement. It's a great rep! Bought it from Tony but now I can see he doesn't have it available anymore.

Hi guys, if you take a closer look at the back side photo of Tony model, you will see a nice bridge with circular pattern, which looks like gen imo. Angus model is different. I believe that Tony is selling the most close to gen Aquaracer 500m rep.

The difference will most likely be the movement. The original one has a docrated movement, the chinese ETA will only have a decorated rotor whereas the Sellita will have decorated bridges and rotor.
