Both the ZF and APSF dials are nothing like the gen if you study them in detail. Having said that the ZF dial, like you said, is a lot better than the APSF one where tapisseries construction goes.

Oh without a doubt, I'm just stating that of the two, I think that ZF did a better job of the tapisserie effect. The APSF looks quite dull by comparison

Thanks for the reference the ZF is DW is very close, a smidge thinner but definitely nothing noticeable. Currently have a deposit on the ZF let’s see how long it takes them to fix the “JEWEE” issue

I agree. Rather an issue with something that’s not visible to the naked eye versus something that’s obvious from a few feet away.

Academically you can be correct about whatever differences, but we are discussing something which is about 2mm or less in height in real life. I highly doubt that it will be a call out in real life.

Objectively, the APSF and gen datewheels are different yes, but this difference is not really significant in real life given the size of the date fonts.

As you could see from the gif I was just messing with you.
I believe that the diver with cloned movement has already been developed by APSF. I do think that ZF will follow suit soon.
