In 2024, APS will release a AP RO perpetual calender with full functions working genlike and all buttons working genlike. APS adopted a new technique that allows it to use a new add-on module.

btw, Clean will release ROLEX 126500ln with shanghai 4131 inside. As the contract between dandong and clean will expire, dandong 4130 from clean is expected to be gradually discontinued.

A factory is working on super clone RM movement, which will be released in the second half of 2024. price of the whole watch is expected to be around 6000 RMB.
Any possible news updates? thank you

The movement looks like a decorated Miyota 9015.
I am confused myself. This watch was presented today by a non-TD. But it looks like this is the old APS ICHS model from 2021. I remembered that this has not been built for some time. Would be interesting to see if this non-TD ‘found’ an old batch or if APS actually reissued the old version. That would be pretty embarrassing.
But I suspect this is just a hoax to get rid of the old batch.

To be fair, if we saw it from the same non-TD source, they didn’t exactly promote it as a new version either. They simply posted pictures. Usually, when it’s about new releases they tend to write a wall of promotional text, but for these pictures there was zero text 😛 I’m leaning toward your theory about old stock.

very sceptical about any movement maker cloning a real perpetual calendar. These movements have very intricate interoperating mechanisms and complicated dependencies esp. leap year functionality.

I don't ever think we would ever ever see a real perpetual calendar clone ever in the rep work. The ROI investment probably doesn't and would not make sense to any rep maker.

lol then check the patek section with the 5740 where you can get yourself a perpetual calendar clone for around 9K directly from a TD

Anyway - this AP looks like the usual hot garbage they tried to promote as being an accurate representation of a perpetual calendar…

$9k USD? No thanks - dont think a single person on here has bought that. As I said - for a perpetual to be cloned to the masses we wont ever see it.

Talking custom movements blah blah - well chuck $$ at anything and it can be cloned.

Goodluck if that movement ever broke. $9k down the shitter esp if that's custom as the listings say. Your money is gone if it needs parts.

Maybe, but your initial post said that you were skeptical about anyone cloning a perpetual calendar movement, and apparently it has indeed been cloned.

Now if you’re expecting a fully functioning perpetual calendar movement in a 1:1 Patek case that’s easy to fix and costs under $1k…well of course that’s not going to happen. If it could, Seiko would be making perpetual calendars for the thrifty watch enthusiasts. As it stands, you can get a clone steel 5740 for about 1/20th gen cost or a gold one for 1/10th. Not a terrible deal, and will probably go down in price over time.

Complaining about that is like complaining that you can’t get a car that performs like Ferrari, looks like a Ferrari, and never goes in the shop, all for $20k. Fine, but what’s the point?
