It could be the lighting. In any case, these ti cases darken over time. And/or they can be made to darken.

lol. For once they actually listened!
For the case color, I think it's not far off to the gen, see the color at the side and the back of the rep. The front side is blinded by light.
And as slaughterer mentioned, the Ti case indeed can darken over time. So no prob there.
