off looking for a diver strap&buckle then :) thanks, all!

even on my small wrists, the AP deployant digs more then the HBB ones..

could anyone let me knw what're the lug/buckle widths of the regular ROO straps&Diver straps.?

regular is 28 at the lugs and 18 at the buckle, the diver is 28 to 24

wow! great idea, fit!

anyway, i called up my local AP service centre&found out, AP does make GEN 18mm tang buckles. so, after doing a couple of days of research, here're the following alternatives for those who wish to get alternative buckles.

1) AP Diver Strap&Buckle combo, approx. USD30-80for REP.(buckle is 24mm instead of the normal 18mm)
2) GEN AP tang buckle, approx. USD150.
3) APBands 18mm Buckle, approx. USD45-70, depending on condition.
4) "franken" AP deployant, as per fitipaldi's idea. i'll leave it to him to explain further.

thanks, all for inputs&suggestions! :)

It's very easy to make one of these and you only need:

1) An AP rep buckle (it comes with the watch)
2) An aftermarket deployment buckle ($12) (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180943658048)
3) 2 spring bars (or one long) (you can buy a 360 set for $4!!! (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-360-Pcs-Watch-Band-Spring-Bars-Strap-Link-Pins-/270967171980?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f16e6eb8c))
4) Tweezers
5) Something to polish the edges of the 2 parts you cut from the spring bar

I'm waiting for my new AP Jalan Bukit Bintang, so I will create a tutorial with pics when I will make my franken deployment.

I took some pics today (it's very boring at work today):

In the last picture you can see where I put the 2 parts from the spring bar.

I can assure you, you will not find any deployment more comfortable than this one. A tangle buckle, at the long term will destroy your leather strap and also it's more difficult to attach the watch.

So I hope this info was helpful.

hahaha, I received my aftermarket buckle today, and my AP Bukit Bintang was just released from custom and it is now with Canada Post for processing; so tomorrow or thursday will be @home. Saturday or Sunday I will post the tutorial.
