Any reviews for this guy here? I'm curious of anyone has any experience with the thickness of this rose gold? The strap on this watch is gorgeous.

Gold plating is so thin it makes the rep invisible. This has real military applications!!

I was joking about the plating being thin. I was only referring to not posting the picture before.

That plating looks nice. I guess it depends on how much use you give it. They say that generally plating wears thin after about a year of constant use. If you use it sporadically it can last for many years.

Haha i knew you were joking. I'm sorry, it's hard to convey much emotion and cynicism through forums lol. It is beautiful though, isn't it? I wonder why this specific model doesn't seem very popular? I think it's gorgeous. Thanks for the heads up about the gold plating...Do we know anyone that does Gold PVD?

There are distinct fashion waves on these fora and a general preference for sprots watches over dress watches. Hence you will hear less about a watch like this one.

From the pictures on PT's site, it looks pretty, with a nice dial, case and crown. However the caseback has Stainless Steel markings on a "gold" watch and my guess is that the strap only looks good on photos.

From previous acquisition of top brand reps, you will need to change strap and most likely have to AR treat the crystal to achieve a feel of quality on par with the Gen.

I would not worry too much about the precise replication as long as it looks good and feels right. No one will know how long the hands are compared to the
Gen. But even the untrained eye can tell if the strap is quality or not.
