Woohoo, I got mine today, ordered it from Replicamake, this is a beautiful watch, the dial is just awesome!

Some quick observations in addition to guru's review:

1. The rotating inner bezel numbers and markers doesn't have lume, the gen has. This is not an issue for me but it might be for others.

2. The rubber strap and buckle are very well made, matt texture and definitely not a dust magnet. Unfortunately for forumers who has BIG wrist, the rubber strap measures 115/75mm. This can be a deal breaker for some...

3. Having a black datewheel makes the circle cyclops less noticeable, BUT this version still has a circle cyclops. With a price difference of at least $100 compared to the square cyclops version, this version will do for me.

Yup, I noticed one of the bezel screw is facing wrongly, I manage to fix it by loosening the caseback screw.

DO NOT try to rotate the hex bezel screw, it will not move and might be scratched/damaged.

Congrats...I may receive mine this week too...Will do a comparaison between the channel and the noob versions...

And i'll be waiting because I would luv to get your feedback...

looks like it's going to be a question of

#1. correct font of "300m/1000ft AUTOMATIC" and incorrect round cyclops
(Chanel V3)

or

#2. incorrect font of "300m/1000ft AUTOMATIC" and correct square cyclops
(Noob V1)

Here we go..

So I received the Noob AP Diver today.

This comparaison is between the Channel AP Diver V2 and the Noob AP Diver

To be clearer (and yes I repeat again) there are 2 factories for the AP Diver : the "Channel Factory" and the "Noob Factory".

Versions : Channel AP :

V1 : wrong pusher at 10 (wrong diameter (6mm versus 7mm) and not screw-in, the crown at 3 is 6 mm like the pusher at 10; the thickness is the same as on all Channel versions : 14mm ; wrong DW color (white versus black); wrong round date window; mispelling on the caseback

V2 : improvements : correct DW color

V3 : improvements : correct screw-in pusher (7mm) but still the same thinner crown at 3, same thickness, same wrong round date window; new correct caseback

Version Noob AP Diver :

V1 : Correct thickness (13mm), correct diameter on the 2 crowns (7mm); correct caseback; correct squared date window; correct screw-in pusher at 10

My opinion :

I have choosen the Asian version as if I want a Swiss movement it's really easy to find one on the bay..

I would buy the Noob version for those reasons :

- Thickness : clearly best one
- Correct capabilities for the waterproofing
- Correct crowns : the rehaut is not loose at all now...
- The rubber seems to be a little more smooth than the Channel version
- The end links seems to fit better on the case too

I read that the font is not correct on the Noob but really don't care and I don't see anything (it's only my opinion)

What mods to be done for sure :

Reluming all the hands/dial/Rehaut
Double AR on the crystal

I will swap the crystal and I will try to swap my relumed Channel Rehaut...

Now some bad pics taken with my phone...

Excellent comparison picts, Yann, thanks!

There are few things about the Channel factory version that stands out compared to the Noob version, please verify whether my observations are valid.

1. The channel factory version has a nicer sapphire glass, the dial can be seen in almost any angle.
2. The channel factory version's datefont looks nicer (personal preference).
3. The channel factory version's dial has a guilloche pattern behind the squares, while the noob dial doesn't.
4. Both versions doesn't have lume in the rotating bezel.

In any case, both are excellent watches and can be a nice addition to the collection. :)

Just keep in mind that the channel version on these pics has AR, this is while the dial looks better

I will answer to your questions when I get back my watches ( the Crystal will be swaped)

Having neither of these watches and looking at the pics, it appears that the Channel factory's version has a more pronounced texture. Can you confirm this Yannou or Guru??

I would also like to know if there is any difference in dial quality and details between the two factories. One thing I noticed that no one seems to have mentioned before is that the hands are also different: the channel factory's has thicker skeleton on the hour hand and a thicker circle on the seconds hand than the noob's. Which is more correct?

I was actually wondering if it was due to UWE's relume (if you are referring to the most recent set of pics in this thread), but looking closer I am almost certain that the hands are actually different.
The one on the left looks definitely better...

Yes, I am referring to Yannou's post on top of page 6 of this thread. The hands do not look different, they are different. However, after reading several reviews of the so-called v2 (actually, v1 from noob factory), it seems no one ever mentioned the hands. And the dial remains a mystery to me as well, are they different?
