AR on the cyclop would definitely be a must, because out of the box the date in kind of difficult to read.
But I just can't make up my mind to invest money in that watch knowing all the weaknesses it has.

yes from guru's pics it seems the AR leaves some coloured hue. well correct me if im wrong, the gen does not have any AR, but the crystal used is of very good quality and for sure the rep is def not able to replicate the same effect without additional mods done to it.
i share the same predicament with you too. to mod or not to mod? :facepalm:

Guys, the AR is a must, fine dds AR is almost (95%) colorless, so it brings up the dial. The gen crystal cannot be compared to the rep crystal, only when it has AR. On the cyclop you can see under certain light a green reflection, but the gen has this too.
So AR is a must.or do you want to look in a grey crystal?

BTW,
I got dealer confirmation that the noob fab was under pressure to release the watch and they had different suppliers for the same parts.
Now they use what they have.This is of course causing problems.

This is a very bad and hard information for NOOB factory.
A lot of fans are trusting NOOB and its quality.
In a case like this is where we can see the true quality and reliability of a supplier.
I think NOOB must do something to recover its prestige.

I never heard of the fact the gen cyclopse has got a green reflection, neither have I noticed that in real life on the gen or on the pics of a gen... It is colorless, I'm 100% sure of that. Concerning the AR, it is correct that reps will never get the same grade of xtal as the gen does, but to get the reflection of the gen an inside AR coated crystal would look great. But that's a personal opinion.
There is no two way about it.Once you do the AR mod which brings up the dial's detail and date font, relume is a must now as the rotating bezel font is just too plain and flat.It's all inter related =)
I got it back yesterday afternoon and put the strap back on. It works perfectly and is all clean inside. I'll post some pictures of it in the sharing pics thread I started. I'll be sure to snap a pic of the crystal protruding from the bezel, since it seems similar to guru's
