Emdeevee, there is no one experienced in replacing AP crystals in my country, except maybe AD (which I think they will send to singapore). There are a lot of watchsmiths here but I think they are more accustomed to rolex, panerai and such.
Sending to USA is not a good option for me, and it will be the very last option if I must choose it.
Why?
1. Customs is a very mind-nerving thing to deal with in my country. Almost all the customs officer (and all police officer) is looking for daily 'additional income' by using their status as a gov officer. It's a hit and miss thing. 20% somehow you get lucky, 80% of the time this kind of package will get caught, they will detain the goods at the custom office and summon you to come and declare. They will NOT believe the goods is under $50 (they are not stupid), they will NOT accept your reason whether it was a gift from a friend or that it was only a service items being returned (they have the rights to do so and they want money).
If you can't show any evidence that it is only a cheap watch, some of them may ask you to show where do you bought it, and if they knew you bought it for $500, they will and can charge the ridiculuos tax for it, which is 30% luxury tax, then 7,5% import tax, then 10% government tax.
Now, if you have some good connections, you may elude this, but lol the problem is I don't.
2. The time it takes to ship and return back. Approximately 45 days just for the shipping.
