Very nice! I prefer shiny alligator on this dressy piece but matte croc looks pretty good as well. Enjoy!

Thanks, i know phantomtech, i saw your watches ages ago which gave me inspiration for mine. I had the strap on my ss 15400 but had to wait ages for the the RG 15400. I'm looking to get rid of this now as I'm after a diver! :)

Really digging this - congrats!

I may pick up an RG 15400 at some point and stick it on a leather strap. I'll probably get an SS 15400 on a bracelet first though, i'm a little weary of how well the plating holds up, so i'd probably only use it as a real special occasion piece :D

Hi. Quick question. What parts are needed to convert a bracelet 15400 into a strapped version. Is it just the strap and the buckle/clasp or is there an additional piece to where the strap arches to the case? It doesn't look like there is in photos, but I'd like to know for certain. Thanks.

kiwijunglist u will need 2 pairs of plots to attached the strap to watch head which was unable to remove from the bracelet.
This is it.(those in red circle)

For the record, its not easy to source and not so cheap.

Same here man. Even before I bought the JF blue dial, I was thinking of getting one on the leather.
Actually the black dial RG with leather (prefer polished leather too) looks fantastic.
I sort of think that the blue dial SS with leather (polished dark blue leather) would look good too. Something I will do in a few month's time. :)

Actually, all TD (from whom you bought the rep from) should be able to get it for you. Just that, at the end, you will find that, it is more economical to get the whole package (buckle, plots and leather straps) and then junk out the leather. If I remember correctly, I was quoted 105USD for that whole ensemble.

Its considering "not so cheap" for me :). Anyway,as i've some friend that got business in making composite and metal part for motorcycle with all required system. I'm gonna try to make some if possible to have some spare. This gonna be alot of works, but cheaper in my country. :)

lolo1972sg One question, since u'r such an expert with AP, does all the version of AP 15400 SS got the same plots dimensions?

No. I am not an expert on the 15400. I know hub6152 is a better expert than me on this rep.
I believe all the JF 15400 plots are the same, ie, same for RG and SS. But I will not use the SS plots on the RG head or vice versa because the colors are different.
Similarly for all the TF 15400.

Can tell you that V6, TF and JF have the same sized plots but they don't all line up on the cases since the holes are not drilled in exactly the same position. I tried a TF bracelet on my JF and the plots didn't align properly but they did fit.

lolo1972sg i'm gonna amend a bit, not version but from all the factory that made them, i.e like JF plots could fit TF,BP and vice versa? :) And ofc, no one gonna but RG on SS head :)

errrr.... i can't be sure. Those who have both a BP and a JF or TF can chim in. But I highly suspect the answer will be "no". The probability of the answer being "yes" is almost equal to the probably of striking a small Loto (usually the various factories use different suppliers to make their various parts and for each part, there is probably more than a handful of suppliers in GZ watch market)

I got the same thought...but with hub6152 answers i'm gonna give it a try with any plots available from TD

I can also tell you that the V6, TF and BP maker all have identical bracelets so I'd be confident to say they're from the same factory. JF definitely a different supplier.
